Species at Risk Funding for Two Local Groups

Two area Species at Risk projects are being supported by the Provincial Government.
Cat Lake and Slate Falls First Nations, north of Sioux Lookout, will take a close look at the woodland caribou population within their traditional area.
The Quetico Foundation will undertake a study of sturgeon population in Quetico Lake.
The Government is funding 113 community projects in Ontario to the tune of $3.6-million.
