There is basically no chance of spraying to try and combat West Nile in Northwestern Ontario.
Bill Limerick at the Northwestern Health Unit says the geography rules that out as a viable option to controlling the mosquito population.
He wonders where officials would even begin given the abundance of swamps and water throughout the region.
Last year, 14 dead birds in the area were found to have the West Nile Virus but so far no human cases have been recorded.
