Spring Is Here….Well Kind Of!

Welcome to the first day of Spring!
Well it may be spring but the spring weather may be weeks away following the massive winter storm that hit our area Monday and Tuesday.
CKDR Meterologist Bill Laidlaw says the big story was the strong winds that packed everything in.
Laidlaw notes today will be another day of strong winds and then things will start warming up.
He expects more seasonal temperatures this weekend.
The storm dumped roughly 22-centimetres of snow.
If you think back to this time last year it was plus 23!
Laidlaw says it will be a traditional spring in northwestern Ontario but notes it will be 2 or 3 weeks before we starting seeing grass.
He notes this was more of a tradtional winter after years of mild winters.
Total snow amounts have not been released, however they far exceed last years total.
