A 19 year-old Kenora woman is charged with
aggravated assault and two counts of breach of undertaking
after a reported stabbing incident.
Police say an intoxicated woman was enraged because
her mother took her infant son out of her apartment.
The suspect attempted to attack her mother with two
kitchen knives, but was stopped by a neighbor.
During the struggle the intervening neighbor was
stabbed in the chest.
Anita Neck-an-oh-pen-ance left the apartment, and
was arrested upon her return.
The stab victim was taken to Lake of the Woods
hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
