A decision on non-emergency land ambulance patient transfers may finally be made early next year.
The Kenora District Services Board has agreed to a Stakeholders meeting to discuss the issue.
The Board, Northwest Local Health Integration Network, Hospitals, First Nations and union officials are expected to be involved in the meeting.
The KDSB has asked for a final decision to be made in February.
Garry Parkes is Chair of the Land Ambulance Committee and says they were hoping for some representation from the Ministry of Health but couldn’t wait any longer.
