Status Of Long Term Care Homes In Question

The provincial NDP are claiming systemic problems among long-term care homes.

Critic Teresa Armstrong says Premier Kathleen Wynne is continuing to claim that everything is OK, even though “cease admission” orders were issued at three homes in southern Ontario this week.

Armstrong says the inability to care for seniors is happening right under the Premier’s nose.

Health Minister Eric Hoskins stresses with a few exceptions, residents in homes don’t need to be afraid and he accuses the NDP of fearmongering.
