There won’t be a leadership race to select the next leader of the provincial NDP.
Marit Stiles is the only person to enter the race.
The deadline to register enter was Monday.
Kiiwetinoong MPP Sol Mamakwa indicated he was not interested in the party’s top job at this time.
The NDP says Stiles was the only person who met all the requirements to enter the leadership race.
She’ll be confirmed in a vote by party members.
Stiles is the MPP for Davenport and is a former president of the federal NDP and a former Toronto public school board trustee.
