OPP are asking folks in some parts of Northwestern Ontario to stay off the ice.
Weak ice is reported in several areas including Pickle Lake and Kenora.
Constable Anne McCoy says children especially should be reminded that ice conditions may not be safe right now.
McCoy says weather conditions are changing so much that it’s hard to judge if the ice is really safe or not.
Last weekend, a 77-year-old Kenora man managed to escape the waters of Lake of the Woods after his ATV broke through the ice.
