Still No Resolution on Land Ambulance Issues

A review of Land Ambulance service is moving along at a snails pace as the Kenora District Services Board continues to look for answers from the Province.
CAO Sten Lif says he believes they were getting the run around at first but notes they recently heard from the Provincial Manager of the Land Ambulance program.
The KDSB and Land Ambulance Committee have been wrestling with several issues including non-emergency patient transfers and funding to service First Nations.
Lif says they want the Ministry of Health to be involved in discussions.
Hospitals and small communities want to keep non-emergency patient transfers, however their is growing concern that its taking away from emergency calls.
