Still Some Concern for Tax Merger

There is a concern about how a merger of the provincial sales tax with the G-S-T will impact hydro and gas prices in Northwestern Ontario.
Atikokan Mayor Dennis Brown says the new tax will only increase costs for those services.
Municipal Affairs Minister Jim Watson says a number of services have already been exempted, but believes prices will eventually sort themselves out in the long run.
