There are still a few openings for the upcoming Dryden Hockey School.
The Rookie and Intermediate camps are full, but there are spaces for the Senior group and Pro Camp.
Head Instructor Randy Allen was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show Friday and says the school will focus on skills development.
Allen has just returned from the Hockey Canada Youth 17 Camp in Calgary, where fine tuning skills dominated sessions.
The camp runs August 22nd to 26th at the Memorial Arena.
Allen notes it’s a great warm-up for players who are preparing for a new season of high level hockey.
He will be joined by American Hockey League defenceman Kevin Raine, Hockey Academy instructor Brett Lobreau and Kenora Thistles Midget assistant Bill Brunton.
Allen says it’s a pleasure to have Raine back home to help out.
He says the Calder Cup winner has a great rapport with kids and will doing a number of things with participants both on and off the ice.
