Still Unclear When ELA Transfer Will Happen

Kenora MP Greg Rickford is optimistic talks with a third party on taking over the Experimental Lakes Area will be successful.
However, Rickford notes its still unclear when a transfer of the property will take place.
He notes the federal government will continue negotiations but notes he would like them to move along more efficiently and effectively.
It was revealed last week that a non-government agency called the International Institute for Sustainable Development was in talks with the federal government to take over the ELA.
The research facility is scheduled to close March 31st.
