The clean up continues after Thursday night’s wicked storm.
Calls to CKDR report that a twister touched down on Eagle Lake,
knocking down trees and causing considerable damage to camps in the area.
Environment Canada is reporting no tornado activity as a result of
the storm, but officials are requesting that anyone with pictures to submit
them.
The Agency says they did record 125km/hr winds on Lake of the
Woods and baseball sized hail near the Manitoba boundary.
Emergency crews were also kept busy.
The Dryden Fire Service says they received multiple 911 calls between
7 and 8 Thursday night.
The bulk of the calls came from the Machin area as firefighters
had to attend to 9-separate grass and bush fires.
Machin crews were also busy dealing with downed hydro lines and
transformers on fire.
