It is week 12 of the support staff strike in the Keewatin-Patricia School District.
For the past week, striking education assistants, librarians and office workers have escalated picketing efforts in front of schools in the area.
Union vice-president Pam Constable says the action has increased awareness but the school board has made no indication it wants to return to the bargaining table.
Meantime, Dryden-area parent Gail Gigolik, the mother of a special needs student says her daughter needs more instruction time.
The school board is offering at least 7.5 hours of at-home instruction per week with a tutor, however Gigolik feels that is not enough.
She is encouraging all parents to contact trustees to let them how they feel about the strike and how it affects about 40 special needs students.
