Negotiations with the Province’s 9,000 Community College teachers have broken off and no new talks are planned.
The Ontario Public Service Employees Union says that leaves it no choice but to plan for a January 13th strike vote.
The union represents faculty at 24 community colleges, including Confederation College staff in Dryden and the rest of its campuses in Northwestern Ontario.
President Smokey Thomas says they had tabled modifications to their bargaining position but college negotiators insisted the union withdraw 69 demands.
