A 14-point explosion in the final quarter propelled the Dryden Eagle Junior Girls Basketball team to a 40-36 win over visiting Kenora yesterday.
Elisa Mawby led the way with 19-points and says they rebounded after a tough first half.
Mawby says they switched to a defensive full court press in the second half, which got the Broncos off their game.
Kyla Lindquist added 7-points.
The Dryden Seniors led from start to finish as the girls cruised to a 36-25 win over the Broncos.
Coach Mike Lalonde says his team is coming together.
Lalonde says his girls denied the Broncos easy baskets and they were able to make some defensive changes at the half.
Morgan Church powered the Eagles with 18-points.
Amy Kipping added 6-points.
