Student Achievement Conference

Improving student achievement has been identified as the number 1 priority by the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
Last year’s Grade 3 Literacy test results were well below the Provincial average.
Trustees will meet with Senior Staff tomorrow and Director of Education Janet Wilkenson says they will examine several areas of concern facing the board and students.
Wilkenson says they need to get a handle on what is going on in the school system right now.
The gathering is a follow-up to a recent 2 day retreat and the results will be part of the Board’s 5 year strategic plan.
The Board will release its Grade 10 literacy results on Tuesday.
