A new report shows that drug and alcohol use is one of the most common causes for student suspensions.
The Keewatin-Patricia District School Board released the data to trustees showing there were 41 suspensions for substance abuse.
Superintendent of Education Joan Kantola says there were also 52 suspensions under the category of “conduct injurious to the moral tone of the school”.
Kantola says there were also 10 suspensions handed out for bullying.
