The escalating battle between high school teachers and the McGuinty Government is ramping up and now area students are getting involved.
A small number of students at Dryden High School walked out of class this morning in protest of anti-strike legislation.
A large group did the same in Fort Frances, Atikokan, Marathon and Rainy River.
A couple of students have told CKDR that the walkouts were in support of their teachers.
Elementary teachers in our area have voted 100% in favour of strike action but won’t be able to walk-out because of the newly passed legislation.
