A new study shows that about 31% of physicians now living in
Northwestern Ontario will be leaving their current communities in five
years.
And the study indicates rural areas would be hardest hit.
About 44% of physicians who live outside the City of
Thunder Bay said plan to take their practice elsewhere.
According to the study, most physicians who are planning to leave
said it’s because of personal or family reasons.
