Study Will Look At High Cancer Rates In Northern Ontario

The University of Toronto, with financial support from Health Canada, is investigating claims a high incidence of cancer among First Nations in northern Ontario and Manitoba.

The research will surround Northwest Angle 33 but other area communities will be looked at.

Research will consist of looking into environmental and lifestyle components.

The feds are providing $200,000 for the investigation.
