As many as 180 substitute teachers with the Keewatin-Patricia District school board could hit the picket line soon.
The occasional teachers have voted 98 percent in favor of strike action to back their contract demands.
The strike vote was conducted in Kenora and Dryden over the past few days, and the results were released last night.
The substitute teachers are reprsented by the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario, and president Emily Noble says the public school board’s monetary offer has generated the strike vote.
The two sides will sit down again on November 24th.
