A great bus run for the Northwestern Ontario Student Services Consortium and their First Rider Program in Dryden.
The program teaches bus safety to Junior Kindergarten students and their parents.
Consortium Staff provide practical training by showing the kids how to get on and off the bus and crossing the road with the light system and driver.
A partnership with the OPP also has an Officer in attendance to re-enforce the safety messages.
Other communities such as Red Lake, Ear Falls and Ignace also deliver the program with the help of volunteers and school staff.
There were 52 students in Dryden who signed up for the program that started on Friday.
