Sudbury skip Tracy Horgan will represent Ontario at the Scott Tournament of Hearts Nationals next month after a surprising win in Kenora Sunday.
Horgan lost twice to Ottawa’s Rachel Homan this week in Kenora, but came back for a win when it mattered most – in the finals. Horgan stole a point in the last end and downed the defending 2011 champions 7-6 in the final Sunday to earn a berth at the national Tournament of Hearts meet in Red Deer, Alta., next month.
Participants were unanimous in their praise of the local organizing committee throughout the week.
