Sudden Death Of Two People Under Investigation In Cat Lake First Nation

Nishnawbe-Aski Police Services with the help of the Ontario Provincial Police are currently investigating the sudden death of two people in Cat Lake First Nation.

Officers with the NAPS, OPP North West Region Crime Unit, Provincial Liaison Team and the Forensic Identification Unit are assisting the Office of the Regional Coroner in the investigation of these deaths.

Police say a post mortem will take place in Kenora on a date that is yet to be determined.

Police also say there is no threat to public safety as a result of this investigation.
