The Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry continues to steer two significant fires away from the remote northern community of Summer Beaver.
One fire has grown significantly to 6,600 hectares in just two days, while its smaller counterpart south of the First Nation has grown to 400.
Officials continue to work on a plan to control and extinguish the fires.
There are 53-active fires in northwestern Ontario, ten considered not under control.
The fire hazard is predominately high across the region.
