Summer Safety Tips From Health Unit

Now that Summer has finally arrived, the Northwestern Health Unit is out with some tips.

Officials are reminding folks to always wear a helmet when cycling and wear a properly fitted life jacket when in a boat.

Shannon Robinson says when you head out for some sun, make sure you wear sunscreen with an SPF of at least 30.

Robinson also encourages the public to protect your eyes by wearing sun glasses and wear light weight clothing.

She also urges people to drink responsibly, noting the national low risk guidelines are two drinks a day for women and three for men.
