It’s time to open up the books again and find out what’s happening at our area High Schools!
Dryden High School
Wishing good luck to a couple of Eagle athletes who will be on the links this Wednesday and Thursday in Southern Ontario. Sophie Koshel and Nate Bachynski will rep DHS at the All Ontario High School Golf Championships. Sophie will be hitting the course in Mississauga while Nate will play in Lindsay. Good luck Eagles! And speaking of repping your team and school, make sure you check out and get from the school store (The Eagles Nest) your DHS Eagles wear including recently arrived Eagles pajama pants!
Sioux North High School
Today (October 14) it’s court sports action at Sioux North! The Warriors will be hosting the Fort Frances Muskies in Volleyball and Basketball.
On Wednesday the 15th IEPS go home. Also on Wednesday, Warriors boys hockey tryouts start. Check your email that you registered with for more info.
Thursday, October 16 the Warriors travel to Kenora to play Beaver Brae in court sports.
Friday, October 17th Sioux North travels to Fort Frances for NORWOSSA Cross Country!
And a reminder that there are no classes on Monday, October 20th as it will be a P.D. day.
Red Lake District High School
A reminder for today (Tuesday, October 14th): Potential graduates are invited to gather for some fun Senior bonding and be entered to win a mini fridge donated by Five Lakes Lodge! Enjoy the Senior Sunset Event that also includes dinner, photos, games, a camp fire and more. It all starts at 5:30.
Join Red Lake District High School for a Haunted House and movie on Thursday, October 30th. Doors open at 6:30 for the Haunted House. The movie starts at 7. Snacks and drinks will be available for a small fee. Popcorn and candy will be free!
Pelican Falls First Nations High School
Pelican Falls court sports action will not resume until Wednesday, October 22nd when the Timberwolves will entertain Atikokan. Two days after that the Timberwolves will be on the road to play White Fish Bay.
Also on Friday the 24th there will be shorted classes in the morning leading into a half P.D. day for the afternoon. Mid term reports will be issued.
Parent teacher interviews will be held on October 29th.
Ignace School
Falcon Shirt Day is coming up this Friday, October 17th.
A reminder that Monday the 20th is a P.D. day. No school next Monday!
Court sports action is coming up on Tuesday the 21st as the Ignace Falcons host Atikokan. following that Jersey day will be on Wednesday the 22nd.
More court sports play happens on Thursday, October 23rd as the Falcons entertain Thomas Aquanis!
