Small acts of kindness, helping people feel welcome and putting a smile on someone’s face.
That’s the mission of the newly created Sunshine Team at St. John Catholic School in Red Lake.
Avery Dumontier, Daphne Kaczmarek and Jonathan all spoke to CKDR News about the initiative.
They say they try their best to make people smile.
Some of the activities they do is writing and delivering encouraging notes for students.
The students also handed out thank-you notes for school bus drivers on Bus Driver Appreciation Day.
There are seven members of the Sunshine Team from Grade1 to 5.
The students say they like this club because they get to meet new friends and help make new students feel more comfortable at school.
