Supporting Seniors In Aboriginal Communities

The Dryden Native Friendship Centre and Patricia Region Senior Services are teaming up to help aboriginal seniors in the Dryden area.
Effective immediately, they will deliver additional services such as transportation to appointments, personal visits and security checks to support those living at home.
Greg Gamble is the Vice Chair of the Patricia Region Senior Services Board, and says it builds on what they already have.
Gamble says their role is providing the administrative support and the funding mechanism to make it happen.
A main goal of the partnership is to keep seniors living at home longer, while providing them with the support they need to access services within the community.
