Surging Miners Win Sixth In A Row

The English River Miners scored five unanswered goals en route to a 6-3 win over the Dryden GM Ice Dogs Saturday night.

Dwayne Auger led the way with two goals, while Kenora’s Cameron Novak, Michael Di Lullo and Jamie Driedger added singles.

Austin Kuhn also scored into an empty net.

Matt Leniuk, Nic Noseworthy and Eric Stout replied for Dryden GM.

Stout now has 15 on the season and has scored in every game this season.

English River now moves one point ahead of the Ice Dogs for second.

Thunder Bay remains first after a 6-3 win over Thief River Falls.

The Minnesota Iron Rangers tripped up Fort Frances 3-2.
