Provincial Police are looking into the contents of a suspicious handwritten note found at Dryden High School Friday.

It was spotted in one of the washrooms and contained names of past and present students.

OPP say they are aware that rumours have been circulating on social media about the list of names and the purpose behind it.

Police assure the community that the note didn’t contain any direct threats of violence and its purpose is unknown.

The note was dated March 22 which is the Tuesday following March Break.

OPP are asking the person responsible for writing the note to come forward in order to alleviate anxiety and concerns it has caused among parents, students and staff.
