Talks between the Ontario Public Service Employees Union and the
Provincial Government are back on.
Northwestern Ontario members recently voted 75% against the
latest contract offer.
Regional Vice-President John O’Brien says there hasn’t been a move
yet to stage another public service strike.
O’Brien says he’s confident a fair deal can be reached but notes the
Province can’t come to the table with all concessions.
The contract would have given workers a wage increase of 2% a
year over 3-years.
