Target Shutting Down It’s Canadian Outlets

Target is shutting down its Canadian operations.
The Minnesota-based retailer says it will close all 133 stores and has filed for creditor protection.
Chief Executive Officer Brian Cornell says after a thorough review of their Canadian performance, it was doubtful Target Canada would turn a profit until at least 2021.
Target says store will remain open until all stock is liquidated
The over 17,000 employees in Canada to be laid off will receive a minimum 16 weeks of compensation.
