Tax Time Scam In Northwestern Ontario

A tax time on-line scam is making the rounds in northwestern Ontario.
A poorly written email, claiming to be from the Canada Revenue Agency, suggests recipients are entitled to a refund that will go directly to their Visa or Mastercard.
The message asks for credit card information to process the transfer.
An agency representative says it doesn’t issue refunds in this matter, especially if you haven’t filled out your taxes yet.
