Dryden Council has decided to vote in favour of an increase to taxi rates in the City.
The initial rate will be changed to 5-dollars and 25-cents from the current 4-dollars and 60-cents.
Incremental rates per kilometre will go up by three cents.
Staff say the approved rate hike could go into effect on June 15th but are recommending a phase-in period.
It’s due to increased insurance costs and rising gas prices.
