Tbaytel Better Prepared For Yesterday’s Test

Tbaytel believes everything went smoothly Wednesday with the test of the national emergency alert system.

Katie Crowe says there are no reported problems with smartphone owners.

The system is supposed to give you messages for Amber Alerts and regional emergencies.

Crowe says Tbaytel was better prepared for the test.

She notes they had been running internal tests and working with other providers to ensure their network was ready.

The preventative measures were the result of a massive country-wide failure of the test back in the Spring.

Crowe says the issues that were discovered back in May were various.

She says it depended on the provider, the network and the actual end user and their own device.
