Teachers Learn How To Use iPads In The Classroom

Back to school a bit early for some teachers with the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board.
16-teachers are at New Prospect School for the next three-days learning how to use iPads in the classroom.
Susan Watt is one of the instructors, and says how people use them in their personal lives and in an education setting is very different.
Watt says they’re introducing teachers to the different apps that can be used in different grades and for specific topics.
For example, there are apps that allow students to make movies, animations and create slideshows.
Trish Morgan is another instructor and says iPads will no doubt become more useful as the iPads allow students to access information and create content, and communicate with the world.
She notes these are skills kids will need down the road.
