The Ontario Secondary School Teachers Federation says it likely won’t
know until the end of this week whether High School teachers employed by
the Keewatin-Patricia District School Board have ratified a 4-year contract.
The union sent out mail-in ballots to all of its local members
because the school year is over.
Local Union President Dave Rhind says they should start receiving
ballots Wednesday but notes they won’t start counting them until Friday at the
earliest.
A tentative contract was reached last week and Rhind is recommending
that members vote in favour of the deal.
