Team Selected For Ontario Regional All Star Team

Nine players from the Peewee AA Canadians have been selected to play for the Northwestern Ontario Regional All-Star Team.
They will have a chance to play in the All Ontario Peewee Championships to be beld in Thunder Bay from April 8-13, 2013
The team will also play in the Tournament of Champions in Brandon, Manitoba, February 7-10 2013.
54 skaters and 8 goaltenders from Kenora, Dryden, Sioux Lookout, Red Lake, and Fort Frances attended a selection camp in August, with 11 forwards, 6 defencemen, and 2 goaltenders making the final cut.
In addition to forward Ian Tookenay, who returns from last year’s team, forwards
Ethan Carlson-Jordain, Kendyn Faragher, James Gushulak, and Eric Pitkanen were selected.
Cole Alan, Colton Bodnar, and Byron Stewart will suit up on defence, and goaltender Matti Booth rounds out the Fort Frances selections.
Also selected were forwards Sam Brunton ( Dryden ), Carter Tresoor ( Kenora ), Jared Neniska ( Kenora ), Jordan Barensky (Red Lake ),Quinton Loon-Stewardson ( Sioux Lookout ), Cortez Favot ( Sioux Lookout ), defencemen Jayme Caron ( Kenora ), Sean Gula ( Red Lake ),
Matthew Binghuis ( Sioux Lookout ), and goaltender Jacob Parker ( Kenora ).
The team is coached by Kenora’s Dan Reynard ( dreynard@ktms.biz, 807-548-6312), assisted by Mike Allison ( Fort Frances ) and Kip Miller.
