Teen Charged With Stunt Driving

A valuable but costly lesson for a young driver from Marathon.

Provincial Police in Thunder Bay were monitoring traffic on Highway 11-17 on the Expressway Saturday.

An officer was conducting stationary radar when an east bound vehicle passed the cruiser at a very high rate of speed.

The vehicle was clocked at 147 km/hr an hour in a 90 km/hr zone.

OPP say the 18 year old driver has been charged with stunt driving.

The accused has had their vehicle impounded for 14 days and driver’s licence suspended for 30 days.
