Temperatures Drop Across The Region

It was a record breaking Wednesday in several communities.
New low temperatures were reached yesterday morning in Dryden, Ear Falls, Red Lake, Sioux Lookout and Thunder Bay.
The coldest spot was Sioux Lookout at -34.3.
That beat the old record of -28.3, which was reached in 1949 and 1956.
CKDR Meterologist Bill Laidlaw says it will warm up today but warns more record lows could be reached this weekend.

March 12th records:
Sioux Lookout: -34.3 (Old record: -28.3 set in 1949 and 1956)
Red Lake: -33.2 (Old record: -31.2 set in 2003)
Thunder Bay: -29.7 (Old record: -28.2 set in 1984)
Ear Falls: -27.4 (Old record: -27.2 set in 1956)
Dryden: -27.0 (Old record: -25.6 set in 1984)
