Temporary 3-Week Shutdown Dryden Paper Mill

Domtar is clarifying the upcoming downtime at the Dryden Mill.
Starting December 1st, the Paper Mill will be temporarily shut down, during which time markets will be monitored in order to determine an appropriate start-up date.
This will affect about 200-employees.
Spokesperson Bonny Skene says for the past few months, the company has
been operating for 3-weeks and then taking 3-weeks of downtime in order to balance production with demand.
Skene says that they will be closely monitoring market conditions during the upcoming temporary shutdown.
Meantime, Domtar President Raymond Royer says the loonie will have a significant negative impact on the cost structure of its Canadian operations.
Chief Financial Officer Daniel Buron adds Domtar is
trying to take downtime where its most logical and that Canadian mills are definitely on the shortlist during any review.
