Youth from across the region will converge on New Prospect School in Dryden Thursday for the Annual Intermediate Progressive Tennis Tournament.
Tennis Dryden Chair Brian Eschbach was a guest on the CKDR Morning Show today and he says the sport continues to be a popular option for students.
Eschbach says right now about 120 kids are being taught Progressive Tennis in area schools.
He says between 28 boys and 24 girls are competing in the Tournament.
Despite some disruptions, Tennis Dryden is back in operation for another year.
The organization has been hosting Tennis Thursday events at New Prospect School due to vandalism at the Milestone Rink.
Eschbach says they will be back at the outdoor rink on June 1st.
He says anyone is encouraged to come out and play or try out the sport and notes they supply the rackets, balls and even provide lessons.
Men’s Tennis will be played every Tuesday and Friday mornings at Milestone.
