Tentative Agreement For Mill Workers

A tentative contract has been struck between Weyerhaeuser and the
Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union.
The 5-year agreement effects 1,200 workers at the Dryden Mill and
Woodlands operations.
CEP National Rep John Mcinnes says the contract was reached after
4-months of negotiations.
He says details of the contract won’t be released until all of its members see it.
Voting will start April 13th and the results should be known on the
19th.
Mcinnes says the Union is encouraging members to ratify the deal as
they feel most of the issues of concern have been addressed.
Workers at the Ear Falls Mill as well as 55 Operating Engineers in
Dryden continue to work on a new contract.
