The President of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union says a tentative contract with Abitibi-Consolidated sets a bench mark for other forestry negotiations.
The deal effects workers in Kenora and Fort Frances and it was reached late Tuesday.
The 5-year contract includes an 11% wage increase as well as improvements in pensions and benefits.
Voting will take place over the next 10 days.
