Tentative Deal for Domtar Employees

A tentative labour adjustment agreement has been reached between the Dryden Domtar Mill and members of the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union.
The deal relates to last December’s announcement of the shutdown of 2-cutsize sheeters and the #2 Papermachine.
The agreement includes early retirement packages with extended health
benefits and financial incentives, employee and family wellness services
for laid-off workers and enhanced severance options.
It also includes plans to retrain and assist in job searches for
displaced employees.
CEP is recommending ratification when membership vote on the deal Friday.
