Tentative Plans to Construct Fire Base in SL

The Provincial Government has announced plans to replace the
50-year-old Fire Management Centre in Sioux Lookout.
Minister of Natural Resources David Ramsay says the planning process is
scheduled to continue over the next 2 years with construction of the new
facility tentatively scheduled to start in 2009-2010.
Ramsay says the centre will increase efficiency and operating capacity
and will be equiped with the latest technology.
