Terry Fox Runs a Success

The weather was perfect for the Annual Terry Fox Run across the District Sunday.
123-people took to the streets in Dryden to continue the dream of a Canadian hero and to raise money for cancer research.
Organizer Lidia Sfreddo says nearly $4,700 was raised.
Sfreddo says it meant a lot to see the great turnout.
In Red Lake and Ear Falls, 50-people gathered to raise roughly $15,900.
The top fundraiser was Ian Chuhai with $9,000 followed by Nettie Moskwa at $4,250.
This was the 20th consecutive Terry Fox Run for Chuhai.
In Atikokan, 23 participants raised $3,174.
The top adult fundraiser was Tricia Donohue and the top child pledge earner was Jolene Beauregard.
13-year-old Beauregard is a cancer survivor and she had her hair cut after the run.
