Roger Valley is making the rounds thanking his supporters across Kenora
Riding today after voters chose him to be their representative in Ottawa
under a Paul Martin minority government.
The former Dryden Mayor outdistanced New Democrat Susan Barclay, Tory Bill Brown & Green Party hopeful Carl Chaboyer in 1 of the tighter races seen in recent memory locally.
Valley says he expects the swearing in ceremony to take place within about 3 weeks.
When asked what role he wanted to play in Ottawa, Valley hinted that Natural Resources issues were high on his priority list.
Valley thanked his campaign team for their work and he says he looks forward in sitting down with aboriginal leaders in the short term.
